PEN Olympus digital camera is only three months after the P2-E and eight after the original EP-1 and such models, a new and much leaking EPL-1 is based on Micro Four Thirds standard, which packs a DSLR-sized sensor and lens mount to removeable in a compact form.

The EPL-1 is the smallest camera of the digital and one for the PENS boast built-in flash and also has the accessory port of EP-2, thereby allowing for the use of high-resolution viewfinder and optional external microphone adapter.
